Over a few “cheeky reds” the hoof® story began...................................
The subject of kids shoes was always a topic of conversation for us. We were constantly commenting on the lack of affordable, casual, funky footwear for kids in the New Zealand market place. It was also a common theme amongst all our friends that the gap between “cheap-and-nasty” and “too pricey” was vast.
It was time to act!!!
After months of creative thinking, the development and registration of a cool and funky brand and logo, hoof® shoes was established.
Months of hard work followed for all, covering market research, trips abroad, budgeting, fine-tuning of products, ordering of stock, customs requirements and marketing. This process ultimately has led us to the official launch of hoof™ on 12 May 2006.
To this point, it has been a great journey. We have learnt a lot and had many laughs along the way, but most importantly we believe we have filled a significant gap in the New Zealand children’s shoe market.
We truly hope you all enjoy the end product.
